I was looking for white crew neck t-shirts, which were not in stock in the store. The store clerk said that they would be happy to order it and have it shipped to my house. However, the company charged me $9.95 for shipping because the merchandise was $39. This is not my experience with other companies, which if the merchandise is not in stock it would be ordered and mailed to my house free of charge. Apparently, CT company only ships free of charge for an order above $200, I was told in the store. I would think it would be good practice to not charge for shipping the in store customers when the store does not have the merchandise in stock, similar to what Banana Republic does as an example. BR orders the merchandise and has it shipped to the customer's home free of charge.
